The VA CLL comes into play when a Veteran is currently using part of their VA entitlement, and wants to buy an additional home.
The VA County Loan Limit (CLL) is not applicable to Veterans who are not actively using their VA entitlement. In other words, if you don’t have an outstanding VA home loan, the VA CLL doesn’t apply to you.
